Representation At Park Chambers we represent both corporate clients and individuals. We specialise in:

Employment cases
Regulatory work/professional disciplinary cases/Fitness to practise cases

Employment related cases

- representation in employment tribunal;
- representation at the EAT ( Employment Appeal Tribunal);
- representation in the county courts;
- representation in the High Court;
- representation in the Court of Appeal - and the Supreme Court.

We represent both claimants and respondents in cases in all areas of employment law including: unfair dismissal, discrimination of all types - whether race discrimination, sex discrimination, discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation, disability discrimination, age discrimination and religious discrimination as well as breach of contract, wrongful deductions from wages, transfers of undertakings, trade union matters, redundancy and fitness to practise cases.

We have represented orgainisations of all types and sizes: from those with a few employees to Government Departments. We have also represented individual employees at all levels from senior directors, professionals and managers to retail and manual employees. From MDs of public companies to cleaners.

Because much of Erich Suter's career has been spent as an employed Barrister he has, in that capacity, had "the right to conduct litigation" and so had the conduct of the cases in which he acted (up to Court of Appeal level). This means that we are in an excellent position to act for clients under the direct public access provisions  without needing them to provide very much by way of additional input.

right to conduct litigation

The "right to conduct litigation" or having the "conduct of the case" means the right to do the things normally done by a solicitor as well as doing those normally done by a Barrister

Public access rules

The direct public access rules  are the rules which allow barristers to accept work directly from the person or company or other organisation involved in the case.

Direct public access means that you no longer need to have two lawyers to deal with your case. At Park Chambers your barrister will present your case in court or tribunal and can now do, or assist you to do, the other legal bits usually done by a solicitor as well.

Direct public access means that you no longer need to pay for two lawyers to deal with your case.

In cases where our members are appointed as mediators they can also be appointed directly, without the involvement of a third party.
